Finger Lakes Fall Colour
Letchworth State Park & Watkins Glen

Day 1 - Geneva, NY
The Finger Lakes – Another world, just around the corner. The region is one of the most popular destinations for fall colour in the nation. This morning we experience the natural beauty of  Letchworth State Park. Often called “The Grand Canyon of the East,” it has been masterfully carved out over the centuries by the Genesee River. This is a particularly beautiful time to visit when the trees are ablaze with brilliant colours. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the historic Glen Iris Inn overlooking one of three spectacular waterfalls.
As we make our way through the park, several stops will be made to allow for pictures or short walks. We continue on to Geneva where we will spend the next two nights at the Ramada Inn Lakefront situated on the shores of Seneca Lake.
Dinner is included in the hotels Pier House Restaurant. You may also wish to take advantage of the indoor pool.
Day 2 - Geneva, NY
Good Morning! We begin our day with a scenic narrated luncheon cruise on Keuka Lake aboard the Esperanza Rose, a majestic 65-foot vintage wooden cruising vessel. Our cruise takes us close to the shoreline allowing for a spectacular view of the many cottages and points of interest, as well as the magnificent foliage. A  delicious lunch makes the cruise complete. Later, we make our way across the heart of the Finger Lake Region to Watkins Glen State Park, the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. The 1˝ mile-long trough was scoured by glaciers, creating 19 waterfalls and 300-foot shale and sandstone cliffs. Here you will have time to walk along the gorge trail, going over and under many of the spectacular waterfalls. We depart this scenic wonder and return to our hotel for a relaxing evening.
Day 3 - Home
This morning we bid farewell to the Finger Lakes area and make our way to the Genesee Country Museum and Village. See life as it was in days gone by as you stroll among the 57 restored and fully furnished buildings. See how a log cabin settlement grew into a bustling community of stores, shops, schools, churches and fine homes. Experience vivid impressions of 19th century American country life – the aroma of soup simmering over an open hearth and bread baking in a brick oven. The Gallery of Sporting Art contains one of the largest collections of sporting and wildlife art in North America. Take time to visit the outdoor Sculpture Garden and the Carriage Museum. The Village has a choice of two restaurants available for lunch on your own. Late afternoon we return to Canada making appropriate refreshment stops along the way. Thanks for travelling with us.
