3 Days October 5 - 7, 2010
Day 1: Nappanee, IN
Today our travels take us across the farmlands of Michigan and Indiana to the town of Middlebury. Here we sit down to a delicious  family style all-you-can eat dinner. This evening we have reservations at the historical Round Barn Theatre for the performance of “Plain and Fancy.” You are sure to enjoy this light-hearted musical comedy set in the Amish Country of Pennsylvania. We spend the next two nights in Nappanee.
Day 2: Nappanee, IN
Today we tour the Fair Oaks Farms and Dairy Adventure. Fair Oaks Farms comprise 17,000 acres, used primarily for silage corn and alfalfa hay and has 30,000 dairy cattle located on 8 separate sites. Cows are housed in naturally ventilated and tunnel cooled freestall barns. They are milked 3 times daily in rotary and parallel parlors and average almost 10 gallons per cow per day!!! Approximately 80 calves are born each day and you may want to witness this miracle of birth at the all-new Birthing Barn. Later we return to Amish Acres where you have time to relax before sitting down to a “Threshers” dinner.
Day 3: Home
Enjoy a guided countryside tour before we begin our journey home. Return is planned for early evening.
